Commercial Auto Insurance

Direct Locations Near You

Commercial auto insurance is one of the best ways you can help protect the business you've worked so hard to build. This kind of insurance helps safeguard your business from financial loss when one of your company's vans, cars, or trucks is part of an auto accident. Depending on the type of business you own or manage, Tennessee may require that you purchase a commercial policy.

Commercial auto insurance isn't right for everyone, but you could be eligible for this type of policy if you use your truck or car to do activities related to your business or job. A commercial policy could be right for you if: you use your vehicle to transport goods or people for a fee; you haul or (tow a trailer hauling) tools or equipment related to your business; you have employees that drive company-owned vehicles; or your vehicle is titled in the name of your business.

At Direct Auto & Life Insurance, we're committed to meeting the needs of your small business. Some companies claim to offer the cheapest commercial policies, but we don't have to. Important Information Regarding Tennessee Insurance Laws

Effective July 1, 2015, the fine for uninsured drivers caught driving without insurance in Tennessee increased from $100 to $300. Following January 1, 2016, police officers could legally have your car towed on the spot if proof of valid insurance is not produced. Leading up to January 1, 2017, the state of Tennessee will be creating and getting into place a new online insurance verification program. This new program will be able to locate drivers who have not purchased valid insurance through their vehicle registration information. If a vehicle is identified as having an uninsured owner, the owner will not be able to renew their vehicle's registration.
