Commercial Auto Insurance

Direct Locations Near You

A commercial auto insurance policy is an important part of protecting the business you and your employees have worked so hard to build. This type of auto insurance helps shield your business from a financial loss when one of your company's cars or trucks is involved in an auto accident. You may be required to purchase a commercial auto insurance policy, but it depends on two things: the laws in Tennessee and the type of business you manage or own.

A commercial auto policy isn't meant for everyone, but you could be eligible for one if you use your truck or car to conduct activities related to your job. A commercial policy could be right for you if: you use your vehicle to transport goods or people for a fee; you haul or (tow a trailer hauling) tools or equipment related to your business; you have employees that drive company-owned vehicles; or your vehicle is titled in the name of your business.

Here at Direct Auto & Life, we're committed to meeting the unique needs of your small business. Some companies claim to offer the cheapest commercial policies, but we don't have to. Obeying Tennessee's New Driving Laws

As of July 1, 2015, Tennessee drivers caught driving without the proper insurance face an increased fine of $300, originally $100. Following January 1, 2016, law enforcement agents are legally allowed to have your car towed immediately if you cannot provide proof that your vehicle is properly insured. Leading up to January 1, 2017, the state of Tennessee will be implementing a new online insurance verification program. This new program will be able to locate drivers without insurance through their vehicle registrations. Vehicle owners without insurance will not be able to renew their vehicle's registration.
