Effective July 1, 2015, drivers in Tennessee who do not have proper insurance face a fine of $300, up from the previous $100 fine. Following January 1, 2016, officers of the law will be able to have your vehicle towed immediately if you are not able to provide proof of insurance. Before January 1, 2017, Tennessee will be creating a state-of-the-art insurance verification system.
