Commercial auto insurance is one of the best ways you can help protect the business you've worked so hard to build. This kind of insurance helps safeguard your business from financial loss when one of your company's vans, cars, or trucks is part of an auto accident. Depending on the type of business you own or manage, Tennessee may require that you purchase a commercial policy.

A commercial auto policy isn't meant for everyone, but you could be eligible for one if you use your truck or car to conduct activities related to your job. Here are a few situations in which a commercial policy could be right for you: you use your vehicle to haul (or tow a trailer hauling) tools or equipment related to your business, you transport people for a fee, you have employees that drive company-owned cars, or your vehicles are titled in the name of your business.

Here at Direct Auto & Life, we're committed to meeting the unique needs of your small business. Some companies claim to have cheap policies, but we don't need to make that claim. Our affordable commercial auto insurance policies can be customized to suit the needs of your business, and your budget. With a range of coverages including Uninsured Motorist, Bodily and Property Damage Liability, Uninsured Motorist, Fire and Theft CAC, Medical Payments, and more, you'll find the cost-friendly coverage options you want when you visit your local Direct Auto.

The fine for being an uninsured driver in Tennessee is $300 (and it's a Class A Misdemeanor). Law enforcement agents can take legal action to have your vehicle towed immediately if proof of valid insurance is not produced. On January 1, 2017, Tennessee instituted a new online system to verify drivers’ insurance. The system has the ability to identify drivers who have not purchased valid insurance through their vehicle registration information. Vehicles that are owned by uninsured drivers will be ineligible for renewal.
